PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - A review board says a Wood County deputy sheriff fired over a tattoo should get his job back.

Chris Piggott's attorney, George Consenza, says the Wood County Deputy Sheriffs Review Board ruled Thursday that Piggott should be reinstated.

Piggott was terminated in April, 11 days after his probationary period ended.

Sheriff's officials said Piggott had agreed to remove a tattoo from his arm after completing training and probation. The tattoo violated a sheriff's department regulation.

Piggott has said he believed he wouldn't have to remove that tattoo if he concealed it.
