Just the same way as most other artists, I started at a very early age and never really stopped. I have never had any formal training in art, but I have never let that stop me either. At the age of 25 I was offered a chance to start an apprenticeship at the original Prairie Wynde Studio in Litchville, ND. After a couple years I went out on my own only to end up buying the Prairie Wynde name from Gary and Mary Miller, and since June of 2007 I have been tattooing in my hometown of Valley City, ND under the PWTS banner.

In a nutshell
Ryan started his apprenticeship at Prairie Wynde Tattoo Studio in March of 2009. As of January 2010 he has been tattooing full time under the supervision of Michael McGough. Making great strides in art and the field of tattooing, he is extremely dedicated to this art form, and learning as much as he can. We have high hopes for Ryan in this industry.
